The Paranormal Study Center:
The Huntsville Paranormal Study Center (formally, The Huntsville Parapsychology Study Group) of Huntsville, Alabama formerly of Athens College & Hartselle, Alabama. The International Parapsychology Research Institute was established at Athens College in 1970 by Joe H. Slate, Ph.D. then Professor of Psychology and Head of Behavioral Sciences.
The purpose of The Paranormal Study Center is to present, and allow members and visitors alike, to experience topics involving the paranormal and parapsychology. The range is really wide, from alternative healing methods, alternative archeology, alien visitation, contact from the ‘other side,’ to discussions for self-help and self-improvement. Check this site from month to month for our latest schedule of leading presenters.
Instead of just a ‘lecture’ format, we encourage presenters to involve the audience, to let them ‘try out’ or feel whatever the presenter brought to our attention. This included some wonderful recent meetings where we got to handle a replica of the Star Child skull, brought here by alternative archeology author Lloyd Pye and taste a brew of shamanic herbs, offered by nationally acclaimed herbalist Phyllis D. Light. We will be updating our reflection on recent presentations often, but you get the picture- we want to share the experience with you, whether it is dowsing with your own pendulum, or doing a bit of remote viewing. No pressure, but the opportunity is there, if you want to try whatever is being offered. In any case, you will leave with some novel insights that help you develop your own abilities on several levels.
Enjoy being with like minded people that share their abilities and enthusiasm about their own experiences, knowledge and practices with everyone.

Please add me to your email list of interested people interested in joining the organization. Sounds really nice, I was involved in a lot of holistic healing reiki and Silva Mind Control and many other modality’s while living in Chicago most all of my life

Years ago, there was a psychic fair at Bevill Conference Center & Hotel at UAH. Does anyone remember this and does anyone know if there is anything similar planned like that in the future somewhere around here?

Yes, the fair is called: New Earth Festivals and it was hosted by Rhonda Rice, but as of right now, nothing has been scheduled for this year.
