MARLEY GIBSON
The Paranormal Study Center
Welcomes: Marley Gibson & Patrick Burns
Marley Gibson is the author of the hit young adult paranormal fiction series, “Ghost Huntress,” from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt’s Graphia line.
She is a lifelong paranormal enthusiast who began conducting investigations in August 2007 as research for her “Ghost Huntress” series. Doing this, she captured some compelling pictures, videos, and sound files.
Marley was featured on the premiere episode of The Biography Channel’s “My Ghost Story,” as well as being interviewed by CNN.com for a Halloween feature on ghost hunting in 2008.
She is also the co-author of the wildly successful “Christmas Miracles,” written with Cecil Murphey, from St. Martin’s Press. The sequel, “The Spirit of Christmas” will be published in the Fall of 2011.
Marley has investigated haunts throughout the USA, including Rolling Hills Sanitarium, Waverly Hills Sanatorium, The Sprague Mansion, The Houghton Mansion, The Stanley Hotel, and the Queen Mary.
Patrick Burns is best known for his starring role as the paranormal investigator on Tru TV’s (formerly Court TV) hit series “Haunting Evidence,” and now his recurring guest judge appearances on Travel Channel’s “Paranormal Challenge,” but he was no stranger to the media prior; having been featured on CNN and an Emmy award winning documentary for TBS, among countless other appearances.
He is one of the most respected and in-demand paranormal researchers today, receiving requests to conduct investigations and lectures from coast to coast.
Patrick is a veteran both in front of and behind the camera lens. A videographer in his own right, his self-produced video production entitled “Haunted” has won him acclaim from his peers in the paranormal field and a nomination from Ghost Convention International for “best documentary.” He founded the Atlanta based Ghost Hounds group, and hosts the recurring GhoStock conference in various locations.
He’s the co-author of the non-fiction book, The Other Side: A Teen’s Guide to Ghost Hunting and The Paranormal with Dave Schrader of Darkness Radio and Travel Channel’s “Paranormal Challenge,” and Marley Gibson, author of the Ghost Huntress series and from A&E’s My Ghost Story.
Recently married, Marley and Patrick will be sharing their many paranormal adventures with us on January 27th, Friday, at 6:30pm at the Olympus Room of Radisson Hotel in Madison. Marley writes the following about what they plan to present then: “Our presentation will be about our adventures on the road – Haunted Highways and we will show clips from our investigations, share evidence, and discuss many of the amazing locations throughout America. We’ll also have a question and answer for anyone wanting to know about Patrick’s television appearances on TruTV (CourtTV) and the Travel Channel, as well as our book together and my Ghost Huntress series.
PSC Members, be sure to tell your friends- we have some really great presentations and this is one of them!
